Matthew Elbertsen
Clinic Manager / Hearing Instrument Specialist
Matthew Elbertsen is the Clinic Manager and Hearing Instrument Specialist at Hear Ontario’s Midland location, bringing 17 years of experience and a genuine passion for helping people hear better and live fuller lives. A graduate of George Brown College, Toronto, Matthew has dedicated his career to providing compassionate, expert hearing healthcare to individuals and families across Central Ontario.
Matthew believes that better hearing is about more than just sound. It’s about staying connected to the people and experiences you love. For this reason, he has been recognized throughout his career for outstanding client care and as a mentor to students and recent graduates.
When he’s not in the clinic, Matthew enjoys family time camping or at the beach, cross-country skiing, cooking, attending concerts, and giving back through volunteerism with longtime organizations close to his heart, like CNIB Lake Joe.

With over 35 years of experience in sales and customer service, Connie has dedicated her career to one simple goal: making people happy. For the past five years, she has focused that passion on helping the local community enhance their lives through better hearing. Her professional background as a Licensed Insurance Broker and a representative in the Business Finance industry has given her a sharp eye for detail and a steadfast commitment to going the extra mile for every client she serves.
When she isn’t in the office, Connie finds peace in her kitchen—provided no one has left a mess behind! To balance the beautiful chaos of a large family (including five adult children and her energetic dog, Charlee), she heads to the loft to sing alongside her husband, a talented musician, or challenge him to a competitive game of darts.
In the summer months, Connie and her husband can be found on their 34’ Sea Ray, fishing and enjoying the waters of Georgian Bay. Once the off-season hits, however, you can find her at the pool hall, where she’s known to hustle a game or two in her local league.
